Welcome to WDCS Australasia

common dolphinEstablished in 1987, the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society, WDCS, is the world's most active charity dedicated to the conservation and welfare of all whales, dolphins and porpoises (also known as cetaceans).

WDCS Australasia implements many of WDCS’s international policy programs in our region. We work with governments, policy makers, researchers and other conservation organizations to create a safer environment for the whales and dolphins that inhabit the waters around our shores.

South Pacific ProjectsIn 2011, WDCS began working closely with South Pacific Projects, who are helping to support our work in the Pacific with the establishment of a new spinner dolphin research and conservation project in Fiji. Find out more.
